Quader asks AL dist, city systems to submit whole committees within Sept 15
Awami League Standard Obaidul Quader today instructed the AL district and metropolis units and its own associate bodies to submit their full-period committees to the party’s workplace division within September 15 next.
"The AL district and city units and its associate bodies, which happen to be yet to create their full-period committees, have already been asked to submit their full-fledged bodies to the party's business office division at AL President Sheikh Hasina's political business office within September 15 up coming," he said.
Quader, also the street transportation and bridges minister, came up with the directives while addressing an AL secretary-level meeting in the party’s Bangabandhu Avenue central business office in the capital.
AL President and Primary Minister Sheikh Hasina joined the assembly through videoconferencing from Ganabhaban.
Quader said holding district conferences usually do not help to make any perception without upazila conferences and announcing union and ward committees. "This is why we have to believe from the grassroots," he added.
He said a gathering of the AL presidium members will be held before long and "then we are considering holding a gathering of the party’s executive committee".
About the August 15 carnage, the AL general secretary said Ziaur Rahman had direct and indirect patronisation in the assassination of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in fact it is as sharp as the daylight.
In various interviews, he said, self-declared killers of Bangabandhu - Colonel Farooq, Rashid and Majed - had told the press many times about Zia’s involvement in the Bangabandhu killing.
Quader said since Zia was involved in the assassination of Bangabandhu, he (Zia) rehabilitated the killers.
He said Zia incorporated the Indemnity Ordinance found in the Constitution aiming to give impunity to the killers and halt their trial.
Giving an answer to a remark of BNP secretary standard Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, the AL standard secretary said: "I want to know right from Mirza Fakhrul…who experienced ensured safe passages meant for the killers in heading overseas and rewarded the killers giving those jobs for Bangladesh missions abroad?"
"You (Fakhrul) should answer to this - as to why was Mushtaq’s Indemnity Ordinance, which halted the trial of the Bangabandhu’s killers, contained in the Constitution through its fifth amendment?" he questioned.
