Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina urges to offer Taraweeh at home
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Thursday urged the countrymen to offer Taraweeh prayers in the home through the month of Ramadan to support the spread of coronavirus. 

The Premier came up with the decision while exchanging views with the deputy commissionrs and officials of nine districts under Dhaka division through videoconferencing from her official residence Ganobhaban.. 

"You see, Saudi Arabia has suspended congregational prayers and even Taraweeh at mosques. A great many other countries also have suspended prayers at mosques, temples and churches. The reason behind is for ensuring self protection as well for others," she said.

She continued : "We are able to learn from this, pray in the home instead of going to mosque. Seek Allah's blessings directly, it really is to be achieved sitting anywhere."

"The situation inside our country is still under control than that of others as we took initiatives right from the start. People should cooperate the government to regulate coronavirus situation. They should stop moving to curb the spread of the virus infection," Sheikh Hasina added.
