Prajwal Devaraj says persons need to take symptoms seriously
Earlier this month, actors Prajwal Devaraj and wife Ragini Chandran announced that that they had tested positive for Covid-19. On Ugadi, earlier this week, they shared that they have recovered and posted a family group picture wishing persons for the festival. Prajwal shares that the past few weeks made him realise how persons take this lightly and ought to be more careful, with the onset of second wave and the rising number of instances.

Prajwal begins, "Even before I acquired tested, I started out feeling tired two days prior. I also felt feverish. The very first thing I did was isolate myself even before I confirmed that it had been positive or negative. That is something that everyone should follow. Many persons brush it off as only a cold or another thing and move around. It really is at this stage that it's very vital that you isolate and not be around others. People have to take symptoms seriously, that they aren't."

The actor shares that both Ragini and he previously only mildly been affected by the virus. "When I acquired tested, I had not been scared as such. I consulted a few doctors that I knew and took medication immediately. Fortunately, while I had tested positive it wasn't very serious. I felt tired for a day and soon I lost my sense of smell and taste. I acquired busy with my lockdown routine, where I began painting again and did mild work out sessions," he says.

Prajwal shared that eating right is important of these times as the medicines are heavy and your body needs the right nutrition. He also stressed on the value of being at peace. "Ragini, who had also tested positive, was there with me. We used to awaken early and meditate and even do breathing exercises. We waited out the complete fortnight even after we felt better to step out. We got our negative reports a couple of days ahead of Ugadi and it made the festival all the more special for all of us," he adds.

What Prajwal missed the most during this fortnight of being isolated, was hugging his parents and hanging out with them. "We were isolated at the top floor of my home. While my parents were in the same house on the floor floor and I'd wave and wish them each morning, I began missing them and was yearning to go and give them that hug. I possibly could do that on Ugadi. A whole lot of people step away from their homes as soon as they feel better thinking they have recovered. However they should wait it out at least for 14 days, because they will be putting others at risk and everyone has either elder persons or children in the home who need to be protected," he signs off.
