Covid infected Khaleda Zia passes her days offering prayers
Former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia iis obtaining treatment residing at her Gulshan residence after she was infected by coronavirus.
Intensive care unit (ICU) of a hospital in addition has been kept readied on her behalf if any emergency situation occurs.
A medical team led by daughter-in-law Dr Jubaida Rahman, has been supervising the treatment of Khaleda Zia.
Meanwhile, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has sought long lasting bail for coronavirus infected Khaleda Zia.
The BNP Chairperson's younger sister Selima Rahman said COVID-19 positive Khaleda Zia passed her first day of Ramadan offering prayers. Her health also remains stable.
She said her treatment is certainly going on beneath the supervision of specialist physicians. "I could say that her condition is stable and she has been improving. Please pray on her behalf," she said.
Selima Rahman said, "Khaleda Zia passes her days reciting from the holy Quran and offering prayers. We speak to her over telephone regularly."
She also said iftar was sent for Khaleda Zia from younger brother Shamim Iskander's residence.
Meanwhile, biochemical test of Khaleda Zia's blood sample was done. Nothing wrong was within her biochemical test, said her private physician Dr Mohammad Al Mamun.
He said they didn't any change in the physcial condition of Khaleda Zia. She's also no symptoms of COVID-19. "She actually is well and stable," Dr Mamun said.
