Music director Farid Ahmed dies of COVID-19
National Award winning music director Farid Ahmed passed on at a hospital on the administrative centre on Tuesday morning.
He died at about 9:30am in Square Medical center where he was in life support from April 11, his youngest daughter Liyana Farid confirmed.
The musician had tested positive for deadly coronavirus on March 25. He was shifted to the intensive attention unit of the hospital the same evening from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Medical center as condition deteriorated.
