PM urges countrymen in order to avoid mass gatherings
Primary Minister Sheikh Hasina called upon countrymen in order to avoid all large gatherings seeing as the virus can spread easily.
The premier built the decision when she was presiding over the standard cabinet meeting held at her office on Saturday (March 9).
The premier developed the directive after IEDCR had confirmed that three Bangladeshis were infected with coronavirus (COVID-19) on Sunday (March 8).
Health Services Division Secretary Md Ashadul Islam briefed newsmen in the Bangladesh Secretariat following regular cabinet getting together with on Monday (March 9).
“The Prime Minister requested you (countrymen) through us that people shouldn't get panicked…her directive is to avoid large gatherings as much as possible as the virus is infectious,” Md Ashadul Islam quoted the premier as saying.
Ashadul also said that the Primary Minister simultaneously urged the countrymen never to be panicked while Bangladesh was first well-prepared to prevent the lethal virus.
