PM ready to sit with other parties, says Obaidul
Apart from holding talks with Jatiya Oikyafront and Bikalpa Dhara, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is willing to sit with other political parties, said Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader.
He also informed that the world community has hailed the initiative of dialogues with different political parties.
Obaidul Quader, also the Road Transport and Bridges Minister, told reporters after a meeting with German Ambassador Dr. Thomas Prinz and French Ambassador Marie-Annick Bourdin at the Secretariat on Wednesday.
Regarding the talks, he said that time is an important factor. "If the polls schedule will be announced during November 4-6, then how can a dialogue be held. But, the PM is sincere," he said.
Replying to a question over BNP leader Mirza Fakhrul's reaction on enhancing Khaleda's jail term, the AL leader said,"Neither the government nor the PM gave the verdict, rather it was given by the court. What is the relation of a dialogue with a legal matter? There is no bar to hold talks."
