Nusrat Jahan to resume shoot on October 1
New mom Nusrat Jahan is all set to return to the shooting floors from October 1. The actor-politician who gave birth to her baby boy on August 26 will play one of the female leads in Sudeshna Roy and Abhijit Guha's new comic thriller 'Joy Kali Kolkattawali'. This is the first time she will be pairing up with Soham Chakraborty. Camera has already started rolling for the director duo's new project.

A source close to the project told ETimes, "Nusrat Jahan will be joining us from October 1 and she will shoot in Rajarhat on the first day. The schedule will continue till October 8 and then there will be the Durga Puja break.

Sudeshna and Abhijit have always delivered family entertainers and this time also it will be a fun-filled joyride with a twist of mystery. Sharing more details about the film's plot director Sudeshna said, "The story revolves around three friends - Anish, Sujay and Mili. All three belong to respected families but they haven't found any job yet. So, for pocket money and to live life in their own way, they start stealing.

Amid all these, a kali murti goes missing in the city and the three friends meet a girl from a middle-class family who runs a dance school. Anish and Raka start as friends and then love blossoms between the two soon. Soham and Nusrat will be seen in these two characters. But what will happen when Raka gets to know what Anish does actually? That's what forms the crux of the story." Besides Nusrat and Soham, Somraj Maity and Sushmita Chatterjee will be seen as Sujay and Mili respectively. Kanchan Mullick, Sudip Mukherjee, Padmanabha Dasgupta are also part of the film.

Nusrat has stayed away from film shoots for the last few months. Her last release was Bratya Basu directed 'Dictionary' opposite Abir Chatterjee, which released in February this year. The actress has been in the news for the past one year or so. Be it her troubled marriage with Nikhil Jain, Alleged relationship with Yash Dasgupta, pregnancy or becoming a mother; all have become the talk of the town.
