Nepalese President Devi Bhandari to arrive Dhaka Monday
President of Nepal Bidya Devi Bhandari is scheduled to reach here on a good two-day State visit on Monday to wait the ongoing twin mega celebrations and keep talks with Bangladesh leadership to take on forward the growing relations.
Bangladesh is hosting a good ten-day special program to celebrate the birth centenary of Father of the country Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and 50 years of Bangladesh's Independence that commenced on March 17 at the National Parade Surface, reports UNB.
The President of Nepal is arriving at Bangladesh at the invitation of President of Bangladesh Abdul Hamid.
President Hamid will receive his Nepalese counterpart after her arrival at Hazrat Shahjalal AIRPORT TERMINAL by a particular flight of Nepal Oxygen at about 10am, according to her tentative programmes. After getting 21-gun salute, she'll get guard of honour.
From the airport, the Nepalese President is scheduled to go to National Martyrs' Memorial at Savar to pay tributes to the Liberation War heroes by inserting wreaths. She'll sign the visitors' book there and plant a sapling.
She will also check out Bangabandhu Memorial Museum at Dhanmondi to pay tributes to Father of the country Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
The Nepalese delegation accompanying the President will contain Minister for Foreign Affairs Pradeep Kumar Gyawali and Secretaries and senior officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, any office of the President and other relevant ministries, based on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During the go to, President Bhandari will go to the celebrations of the birth centenary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman upon Monday afternoon seeing that Guest of Honour. Primary Minister Sheikh Hasina will have the Nepalese President at the location.
On the occasion, the President will deliver a affirmation on the theme of "Nepal-Bangladesh Relations and Bangabandhu's Birth Centenary".
She will also hold talks with the President of Bangladesh at Bangabhaban. Meanwhile, Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen will meet up with the Nepalese President at Presidential suite of the resort on Monday.
President Bhandari will attend the Status Banquet hosted by the President of Bangladesh in her honour.
A cultural troupe may also be part of the Nepalese delegation which will show a cultural performance through the birth centenary celebration program in Dhaka.
The President can be scheduled to go to the Embassy of Nepal, meet its nationals in Bangladesh and attend the luncheon to be hosted in her honour by the Ambassador of Nepal to Bangladesh.
President Bhandari will go back to Nepal in Tuesday afternoon. Foreign Minister Dr Momen will dsicover her off at the airport terminal.
President of the Maldives Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and Sri Lankan Primary Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa already attended the programme in person.
Indian Primary Minister Narendra Modi will visit Bangladesh on March 26-27 within the ongoing celebrations. Bhutanese Primary Minister Dr Lotay Tshering may also come before the visit of Modi.
