Mirpur slum fire guts over 50 shanties
A lot more than 50 shanties were gutted as a good fire broke out in a slum in C-block around Kalshi Bus Stand found in capital's Mirpur area early Wednesday.
The fire started in the slum around 2:10am, said Fire Service and Civil Defence control room duty officer Md Kamrul Hasan.
On info, 12 firefighting systems rushed to the spot and brought the fire in order around 3:10am.
But reason behind the fire cannot be confirmed yet.
Over 50 shanties were gutted in the fire, the control bedroom officer said.
The fire incident occurred at the same slum in December 26, 2019, which gutted more than 50 shanties.
