Barca stroll into previous 16 after thrashing Dynamo Kiev
Barcelona qualified for the Champions League last 16 with two games to extra on Tuesday as Martin Braithwaite scored twice found in a 4-0 make an impression on Dynamo Kiev.

Lionel Messi was first among a small number of major players rested for Barca but Braithwaite's double, as well as goals from Sergino Dest and alternative Antoine Griezmann saw the Catalans safely through, joining Juventus in progressing from Group G.

Initial and second place remain to be settled, with Barcelona using away at Ferencvaros in a few days before a potential decider at home to Juve, who beat the Hungarian side 2-1 in Turin thanks to a late Alvaro Morata winner.
After taking optimum points from their earliest three games, Ronald Koeman took the chance to rotate as Messi and Frenkie de Jong were overlooked of the squad completely while Jordi Alba and Griezmann were both on the bench.

Instead, Koeman called a youthful line-up that included a senior debut for Oscar Mingueza in central defence, with Francisco Trincao, Pedri and Carles Alena also given probabilities to impress.

There will surely be tougher opponents than Dynamo to navigate but Mingueza delivered a composed display and could be trusted again given Barcelona's current shortage in defence.

Gerard Pique, Samuel Umtiti and Ronald Araujo are out injured.

Braithwaite certainly did his probabilities no harm by taking his total number of goals for Barca in one to 3, the first a penalty, and a good deserved return for his tireless performance in advance.

Success also continues Barca's excellent form in Europe, which will come in stark contrast to their struggles found in La Liga, where they sit 12th in the table following Saturday's 1-0 defeat by Atletico Madrid.
Dynamo were also depleted, without their top scorer Viktor Tsyhankov, who was ill, and they hardly ever really threatened their opponents like they did found in the go back fixture last month.

They will now challenge Ferencvaros for third place and qualification for the Europa League.

Barcelona dominated the ball found in the first half but were not able to breach a determined Dynamo defence, whether or not there is little threat from the house area, even on the break.

The opening goal originated from an unlikely source as Dest fired a pass into Alena even though the ball was returned to Braithwaite on the edge of the box, Dest took over, carrying it into his stride and shooting in to the far corner for his first of all goal for the club.

Braithwaite's period would come 5 minutes later seeing as he finished off Alena's corner in the back post and he made it three from the penalty area, after being pushed in the trunk by Denys Popov seeing that he tried to brain in Alba's cross.

Popov had currently blazed wide that which was perhaps Dynamo's best prospect at the trunk post while Koeman had made improvements getting on Griezmann, Alba and Riqui Puig.

Puig must have added a fourth but skied Dest's cutback over before Greizmann did, capping a lively cameo by traveling in and rounding off a comfortable victory.
