Mike Tyson to star in Karan Johar’s ‘Liger’
Noted boxing champion Mike Tyson is set to make his Bollywood debut with Telugu star Vijay Deverakonda in the movie, "Liger".
The film, produced by Karan Johar under Dharma Productions, will also star Ananya Pandey.
Johar announced the news of Tyson's involvement in the film through social media.
"For the first time ever, the king of the ring will be seen on the big screens of Indian cinema! Welcoming MikeTyson to the LIGER team!," he wrote on Twitter.
Deverakonda also made the announcement on his social media, with a poster that saw a half of his face merged with that of Tyson. "We promised you Madness! We are just getting started. For the first time on Indian Screens. Joining our mass spectacle - #LIGER The Baddest Man on the Planet. The God of Boxing. The Legend, the Beast, the Greatest of all Time! IRON MIKE TYSON," he shared.
Although no details have been released of Tyson's character in the movie, the teaser video hints that there will be a major face-off between Deverakonda and Tyson in the film.
Tyson previously appeared in movies such as "The Hangover" and "Pharaoh's War".
