Medical board for Khaleda soon: Home boss
Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said a medical board will be formed shortly for giving imprisoned BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia treatment.
The minister said it to reporters after holding a meeting with 7-member BNP delegation in secretariat on Sunday afternoon (Sep 9).
The senior BNP went to meet the minister requesting admission of ailing Khaleda Zia to United Hospital as she like.
Kamal also said the government will determine through consulting with expert physicians whether Khaleda Zia to be shifted to United Hospital—the hospital preferred by ailing BNP Chairperson, for treatment.
BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir also spoke to reporters after the meeting.
“Khaleda Zia is severely ill. We have asked her treatment at a specialized hospital. (We have) recommended United Hospital, which is preferred by Khaleda Zia,” Fakhrul told reporters what they told the minister at the meeting.
