No dialogue unless BNP apologises: Quader
Ruling party general secretary Obaidul Quader on Wednesday ruled out any possibility of holding dialogue with Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), if the party didn’t seek apology for observing alleged fake birthday of Khaleda Zia on national mourning day.

The road transport and bridges minister lambasting BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia for celebrating birthday on death the anniversary of country’s founding President Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, also said with such arrogance there no door was left open for holding any kind of dialogue with them.

He further alleged that who awarded killers of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman hinting BNP founder Ziaur Rahman by placing them in different foreign offices and formulated Indemnity Act to give immunity from legal action to the persons involved in the assassination of Sheikh Mujib, there would be no dialogue with them.

Quader came with these remarks while addressing a discussion marking national mourning day held at the Teachers Students Center of Dhaka University organized by Bangabandhu Samaj Kallyan Parishad.

Awami League always tried to keep a working relationship and understanding with BNP for the sake of democracy but it would not continue again had not BNP sought apology for observing motivated birthday of Khaleda Zia, said Quader.

However, Quader did not utter a single word over ongoing movement protesting killing of two students in a fatal road accident on Sunday in front of Kurmitola

The programme was also attended by former Chhatra League president Bahlul Majnun Chunnu, Awami League’s organizing secretary AFM Bahauddin Nasim, newly selected BCL central president Rezanul Haque Chowdhury Shovon and general secretary Golam Rabbani, DU chapter president Sanjit Chandra Das and Secretary Saddam Hossain, among others.
