Mamo, Jovan pair up for Eid drama 'Failtus'
National Film Award-winning actress Zakia Bari Mamo and Farhan Ahmed Jovan will share the screen once again in a unique tele-drama directed by Rifat Adnan Papon. His directed Eid drama 'Brischik-The Scorpion' impressed the viewers. As a result, he became more serious about giving direction.
This time he has made tele-drama titled 'Failtus', written by Shafiqur Rahman Shantnu, casts Mamo and Jovan in the lead roles. Mamo and Jovan played the roles Omi and Jishan respectively in the play. The shooting of the tele-drama has already been completed.
While talking about making the play director Papon said, "Mamo Apu acted for the first time under my direction. It is no doubt she is a talented actress. While working with her I realized that she is not only a talented actress but also versatile performer. Both she and Jovan Bhai co-operated me while giving direction of the drama which will be aired in Eid-ul-Azha in a TV channel."
Mamo shared her feelings by this way, "If story does not like by me I do not work. I have to work round the year - I am not like this. If I like the story then I will work, otherwise I will take rest. I have no interest to work in meaningless work to increase the number of work. I have liked story of Papon's drama so I worked. For the first time I worked under his direction. He did his job nicely. I and Jovan have tried our level best to portray our roles during taking part in shooting of the play. I hope viewers will enjoy the drama."
"Earlier I and Mamo worked together in Sardar Rokon Bhai's play Tui Ar Ami. It is no doubt Mamo is a talented actress. I always enjoy working with her. I also enjoyed working with her in drama Feltoos. Papon has tried his level best in direction. I believe this play create interest among the viewers," Jovan said. 'Failtus' will be aired on a private TV channel in the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha, said Papon.
