'Live From Dhaka' to be released
Khelna Chobi's internationally acclaimed film 'Live From Dhaka,' will get released on Star Cineplex, Dhaka on March 29. Representatives from the Khelna Chobi team confirmed the news.

"The film will be released on March 29 at Cineplex. We hope cinema-lovers will attend the first screening and tell us what they think, as we will all be there as well. The first show of the screening will be attended by the production team," said the producer of film, SM Shamsur Rahman. Regarding the film's success Shamsur said: "The film won Best Actor and Best Director awards at the Singapore International Film Festival and has been screened at various international film festivals of the world."

Shown at the Locarno Festival in the Open Doors section 'Live From Dhaka' is the directorial debut of the Bangladeshi director Abdullah Mohammad Saad, and shows a tragic story of the protagonist who plunges into the infernal circles of the megacity that is Dhaka.

"The film's main value is the story. It tells the story of life in Dhaka, and how we perceive it. The raw existence of life in Dhaka challenges us on a constant basis, and we sometimes fail to express it. Nothing of that feeling was hidden in this film.

The film is focused from one character's perspective, that could be anyone," Shamsur added. The lead actor Mostafa Monwar said, "The experience of portraying the protagonist was amazing, as it was a multidimensional character. The film shows the many different roles we each play in our own lives in Dhaka.

We all look for an escape."   Actor Tasnova Tamanna said: "The film's success, in many festivals, has given rise to many expectations. We hope that by watching this film, people will get to see something new. We hope they go to halls to watch the film. We will go and watch the film in the halls as well."
