MP Habibur acquitted in corruption case
A Dhaka court on Thursday acquitted Habibur Rahman Mollah, lawmaker from Dhaka-5 constituency, in a corruption case.

Judge Joynal Abedin of Dhaka Special Judge Court-10 delivered the verdict.

MP Mollah was not present in the court citing sickness.

The verdict said Habibur Rahman Mollah was acquitted as he was found not guilty in connection with acquiring wealth illegally and hiding information, reports a Bangla newspaper.

According to the case statement, the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) lodged a case against Habibur Rahman Mollah on October 3, 2007 on charge of illegally amassing wealth worth Tk 2.32 crore and concealing information in his wealth statement.
