Journalist's father among four die of coronavirus in Noakhali
Four persons including Jamuna Television's Noakhali correspondent Motasim Billah Sabuj's father died of coronavirus infection in Noakhali on Tuesday, raising the full total number of deaths in the deadly virus to 19 in the district up to now.
Begumganj and Senbagh upazila administrations confirmed about the deaths on Tuesday night.
Begumganj Upazila Health insurance and Family Planning officer Dr Asim Kumar Das said Quazi Md Solaiman, 64, an inhabitant of Choumuhani Poura Hajipur and journalist Sabuj's father, died on Tuesday evening. He was identified as having coronavirus on Monday. Since then he had been in the home quarantine at his house.
Besides, two reports came on Monday, revealing Nurul Huq, 62, of Ekhlaspur, and Nabi Hossain, 65, of Durgapur under Begumganj upazila, were coronavirus positive patients. Both of these died on Sunday (May 31). Earlier, Md Hanif, 60, of village Madhya Khanpur in Sharifpur union, died on, may 29. He was also tested positive.
Senbagh Upazila Health insurance and Family Welfare officer Dr Matiur Rahman said Ahsan Ullah, 53, of village Mohidipur in Kabilpur union died on, may 29. He was also tested positive.
