Patient with coronavirus symptoms dies at Satkhira Medical
A patient who was admitted to Satkhira Medical College Hospital with coronavirus symptoms died on Friday night.
Pear Ali, son of Fazar Ali of village Ghona under Sadar upazila in Satkhira district, died at intensive care unit at about 8:30 yesterday evening.
Satkhira Medical College Hospital super Dr Rafiqul Islam said Pear Ali had admitted to a healthcare facility with fever and shortness of breath on Wednesday afternoon. As his condition deteriorated, he was shifted to the ICU on Friday afternoon where he died during the night.
Satkhira civil surgeon office's information officer and medical officer Dr Jayanta Sarker said samples from Pear Ali's body were delivered to Khulna PCR Lab on Wednesday. However, the report hasn't come yet.
He said his home and his father-in-law's home will be put on lockdown.
As well, he'd be buried beneath the supervision of Islamic Foundation.
