Jail Killing Day observed in Rajshahi
The Jail Killing Day has been observed with due respect in Rajshahi on Saturday.

Rajshahi city and District Awami League (AL) units and all its leaders and organizations organized various programs for the day. 

The national flag and black flag were hoisted at AL city office and Rajshahi City Corporation on the day.

The Jail Killing Day program started with placing wreaths at the portrait of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and four slain national leaders. 

People paid tributes to one of the four leaders Shaheed AHM Kamruzzaman placing wreaths at his grave. Later a special monajat was offered for the acceptance of their martyrdom. 

Shaheed son and Rajshahi City mayor of AHM Khairuzzaman Liton, AL senior vice-president Shahin Akhtar Rani, vice president Mir Iqbal, principal Shafiqur Rahman Badshah, Nowsher Ali, general secretary of city AL Daboo Sarkar, former vice president of BCL Dr. Anika Fariha Zaman Arna, City BCL President Roki Kumar Ghosh were also present on the occasion.

Meanwhile, in memory of the four national leaders, the Qur'an was recited in 30 Ward Offices and different intersections of the city and at the important places in the city from the morning.

Lunch was distributed among the poor people. Besides, Jubo League, Sechchhasebak League and Chhatra League organized photographic exhibition, voluntary blood donation program, discussion meeting and doa-mahfil on the occasion of the Jail Killing Day at different places of the city.

On November 3, 1975, the killers of Bangabandhu stormed into the Dhaka Central Jail in the early hours and assassinated the four national leaders Tajuddin Ahmed, Syed Nazrul Islam, Captain Monsur Ali and AHM Kamaruzzaman.
