Woman slaughtered in Rajshahi
A woman was reportedly slaughtered by unidentified assailants in Tanore upazila of Rajshahi.
Three others were injured in the same incident, at Kacua Jitpur area of the upazila Wednesday (Oct 3) night.
The deceased was identified as Johra Begum, 45.
Sohel Rana, a neighbor of the deceased, said he went to Johra’s house after hearing screaming, around 8:45 at the night.
He found Johra lying unconscious and her son, daughter-in-law and a granddaughter injured with stab injuries.
The deceased’s body has hit marks on head and other body parts, Tanore Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Rezaul Karim told Banglanews.
The body was kept at the morgue and the injured were admitted to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH).
A case will be filed over the incident, added the OC.
