IS' claim is 'bogus': Police
Inside the Pallabi Law enforcement Station in Dhaka carrying out a huge explosion on Wednesday morning hours.

The Islamic Condition (IS) which includes claimed undertaking explosion at Pallabi Law enforcement Station in Dhaka has been termed 'bogus' by police.

Five people including four policemen were injured on the violent explosion that had happened each morning.

DMP's DC (PR) Walid Hossain said police seized two firearms, four rounds of bullet and an electronic weighing machine even while arresting 3 thugs after Tuesday midnight.

During the questioning of the arrested people at the authorities station, he explained the weighing machine placed in the work officer's space suddenly exploded with a huge sound, leaving four cops and a civilian injured.

A law enforcement official said window panes and furnitures kept inside duty officer's bedroom were badly damaged in the explosion. Following explosion, panic gripped the police officials and constables operating inside police station.

Later, at about 8:46pm, the IS features claimed that it completed the explosion in a Twitter post to Webpage Intelligence Group.

The IS also claimed undertaking the attack at Pallabi Police Station in a post sent to the Twitter account of Rita Katz, director of the web site which monitors militant threats and attacks all over the world.

In a Twitter, Rita Katz also said the IS claimed carrying out an attack targeting the police in Bangladesh's capital Dhaka.

She also claimed that it had been the first attack of the IS in Bangladesh after August 2019.

However, asked about the website Intelligence and its own director's Tweets, DMP's Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime's deputy commissioner Saiful Islam stated, "We browse the Tweets, my understanding is certainly that the IS' state was bogus."
