HC orders submission of probe report on Nimtali fire
The High Court on Wednesday ordered the authority concerned to submit the investigation report on the tragic Nimtali fire incident by April 11.
In 2010, the apex court, responding to a writ petition, asked the Dhaka City Corporation, home ministry, fire service, explosives department and other authorities concerned to submit an investigation report on the devastating fire that claimed 124 lives.
On Wednesday, the High Court bench, comprising Justice Moinul Islam Chowdhury and Justice Ashraful Kalam, issued the order after the petitioner submitted a complementary petition following the recent fire incident at Churihatta in Dhaka that burnt 71 people to death.
