2 Jubo League leaders murder: Ex-MP Rana gets bail
The High Court on Wednesday granted bail to Amanur Rahman Khan Rana, former Awami League lawmaker for Tangail-3, in a case filed for killing two Jubo League leaders in 2012.
The HC bench of Justice AKM Asaduzzaman and Justice SM Mojibur Rahman passed the order.
Deputy general Dr Md Bashir Uddin represent the state while lawyer Mansurul Haque Chowdhury stood for the bail plea.
Tangail Sadar upazila Baghil union unit Jubo League leaders Shamim and Mamun had missing on July 16, 2012.
Shamim's mother Asia Khatun filed a general diary the next day.
On July 9, 2013, Mamun's father filed a murder case. Later, police detained three in this connection.
According to their confessional statement the trio said they fell down the bodies of Shamim and Mamun into the river after killing them by the order of Rana.
