Govt asks licenced firearm holders not to show arms publicly
The government today ordered licenced firearm holders not to show their firearms publicly warning that those who will violate this order will have to face actions as per the section 25 (A) of the Firearms License Supply, Renewal and Use Policy-2016.
“The licensed firearms holders have been asked to refrain themselves from working as security personnel at any private security agency or as body guards of any individual following the section 25 (C) the Firearms Licence Supply, Renewal and Use Policy-2016 and showing arms publicly as per the section 25 (A) of the policy,” said a notification of political wing of the Public Security Division of the Home Ministry.
According to sources, many people are working as security guards at different private security agencies and trying to create panic among the
people showing their licenced firearms, the notification said, adding that so, the licenced firearms holders have been ordered to follow the firearms use policy strictly.
Otherwise, the government will take legal actions against those, who will violate the government order, it added, reports BSS
