Fire breaks out at DNCC kitchen market
A fire broke out early Saturday morning at Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) kitchen market in Gulshan-1.
The fire broke out around 6am.
A total of 20 units from the Fire Service went to the spot and brought the blaze under control around 8.25 am. The reason behind the fire is still unknown.
Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Mayor Atiqul Islam visited the spot around 8:10am.
Market employees present on the scene told journalists that the market had not opened for business and there was almost no one inside it when the fire broke out.
A similar fire on January 3, 2017, gutted 300 shops at the same market though no causality was reported.
