Fake DB police held in Dhamrai
Police detained a guy for reportedly posing as Detective Branch of Police (DB) official at Dhamrai upazila in Dhaka on Saturday night.
Imposter Russell Mia, 48, is a resident of Belabo upazila in Narsingdi district.
Police said Russell demanded toll from a pharmacy shop at market near Dhamrai upazila parishad around 8 pm posing him as DB police.
Suspecting the problem, locals caught him and informed police.
Dhamrai Police Station sub-inspector (SI) Mokhlesur Rahman said police detained Russell and filing of a case is underway in this regard.
