Ekushey book fair begins on Feb 2
The month-long “Amar Ekushey Grantha Mela 2020, ″ mostly known as ‘Amar Ekushey Boi Mela,’ is set to begin on February 2.
Election Commission declared to hold polls to two Dhaka City Corporations on February 1, changing the date of January 30. As a result, the usual date of February 1 has been deferred to February 2 this year.
Habibullah Siraji, director general of the Bangla Academy and the organizer of the fair, confirmed the matter on Sunday (January 19).
The Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the fair at 3 pm on that day. The decision has been made known from Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), he added.
Besides, Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and its equivalent examinations-2020 have been deferred for a single day for the same reason.
