DU students boycott classes locking academic buildings
Students of Dhaka University boycotted their classes on Sunday demanding cancellation of seven government colleges' affiliation with Dhaka University (DU).
The agitating students locked different academic and administrative buildings since morning.
Students barred Pro Vice -Chancellor prof Md Samad from entering his office around 9am.
Then the pro VC said, "This is not university's personal issue, it's national issue. So, we should go through a process. Till then, you postpone your movement."
The buildings are locked till filing of this report around 10:28am.
Demonstrator said, "It is illogical to take the responsibility of around two lakh students of seven colleges', where the DU administration failed to lead educational activities of 37, 000 students rightly."
