Classes, exams held at DU despite boycott call
Examinations and classes were held as usual at Dhaka University despite the boycott call by different panels who took part in the just-held DUCSU election.
Leaders of five panels, including newly elected vice president of DUCSU announced the class boycott to press home for five-point demand including re-election to Dhaka University Central Students Union (DUCSU).
Presence of the students on the campus was also normal.
DU proctor Prof Golam Rabbani told media that there was no reasons for not holding classes.
Meanwhile, leaders and activists of the five polls boycotting panels gathered in front of the administrative building at 12 noon.
They have taken position in front of the VC office.
Apart from placing demands, Pragatisheel Chhatra Jote leader Liton Nandi in a press conferences at Modhu's Canteen on Sunday afternoon also announced boycotting classes and exams scheduled for Monday.
During the announcement, leaders of other panels were also present there.
Later, General Students' Rights Protection Council extended its solidarity to the programme.
