DSCC CEO violates lockdown rules
Dhaka South city Company (DSCC) CEO (CEO) Shah Mohammad Emdadul Haque violated lockdown guidelines by entering Wari in Ancient Dhaka with a convoy on Saturday, reviews UNB.

He admitted that it had been wrong to enter  the lockdown place with vehicles.

Wari was set under strict lockdown for 21 times from Saturday morning as the area was discovered as a 'Red Area' because of high Covid-19 contamination rate.

Tipu Sultan Highway, Jahangir Street, Dhaka-Sylhet Highway (Joykali Temple to Baldha Lawn) in outer street and Lalmini road, Hare road, War highway, Rankin Road and Nawab St in inner Wari were locked down from 6am.

Haque entered the lockdown place along with convoy of 8-10 vehicles, which was violation of lockdown guidelines.  According to lockdown guidelines, only vehicles of emergency services will be permitted to ply inside lockdown areas.

When his attention was attracted to the problem, he said it had been his fault since it was their first-time working in this sort of lockdown area. "From tomorrow, we will enter by walking and keep vehicles beyond your area," he told reporters.

Bamboo barricades were put up at all the entrances of roads. No-one is allowed to leave the areas without emergency reasons as participants of law enforcement organizations and volunteers happen to be strictly monitoring the areas.

Everything except drug shops and shops of essential goods in the region have been shut.

A general trip has been declared in the locked down areas. The lockdown restriction  will maintain force until July 25 to support the transmission of coronavirus.

Over one lakh persons reside in the Wari crimson zone area where 46 persons tested great for coronavirus.
