DSCC councilor Manju placed on 10-day remand
A Dhaka court placed Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) councilor of ward no: 39 Moinul Haque Manju on ten-day remand in two cases involving drugs and illegal firearms.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Dhiman Chandra Mondal passed the remand order on Friday (November 1) after he was produced before the court with a plea to place him on a total of 14 days of remand in the two cases.
The same court also placed his driver Sajjad on 5-day remand.
Rapid Action Battalion filed two separate cases with Wari Police Station against Manju under Narcotics Control and Arms Acts on Thursday (October 31).
RAB detained Manju during a raid at his office in capital’s Tikatuli area on Oct 31.
