'Drug trader' killed in 'shootout'
A suspected drug trader was killed in a reported shootout with police in Sadar upazila of Moulvibazar district at noon on Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Muhibur Rahman Zitu, 26, said Sadar Model Police officer in-charge (OC) Md Alamgir Hossain.
Three police personnel-- SI Momin Ullah, constable Dabir Ahmed, and Sohel Mia-- were also injured the gunfight, said the OC.
On information, a team of detectives conducted a drive at an abandoned home in Rayasree area.
Sensing presence of the police, the drug traders fired on police, prompting them to fire back that triggered a gunfight, said OC Alamgir.
