Dhaka Regency hosts Bangladeshi Regional Food Festival
Dhaka Regency Hotel and Resort will be hosting Bangladesh Regional Food Festival throughout the entire month of September to celebrate the World Tourism Day.
The food festival will showcase authentic local delicacies from all seven divisions of the nation.

Ahmed Hossain, Director, Food and Beverage, Dhaka Regency Hotel and Resort said, “With this festival, we are bringing delicacies from all across Bangladesh, delving deeper into the inner food culture of each division of the country. We will be preparing the items with only locally sourced ingredients to ensure our foreign and urban guests enjoy the most authentic gastronomic experience.”
There will be biriyani cooked inside bamboo stalks, choijhal gosht, shatkora chicken, koi paturi as well as vegetarian items such as dal with drumstick shoots, bamboo shoot curry, laukhatta, shabji labra and many more.
“Even for desserts we are introducing unique and lesser-known dishes focusing especially on winter cakes.”
The festival will take place on every Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Each weekend will be focused on a different theme that features the authentic delicacies of a particular division.
The first weekend (September 5-6) will be on Dhaka, the second (12-14) on Sylhet and Chattogram and the third (19-21) on Barisal, Khulna, Rajshahi and Rangpur. The final weekend (26-28) will feature One Bangladesh since World Tourism Day is on September 27.
They buffet dinner will also be complemented with folk music. It will be served at evening between 18:30-22:30 at the hotel’s all-day dining outlet Grandiose Restaurant at BDT 3,490 net per person.
