1st Hajj flight leaves Dhaka with 419 pilgrims
A flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines left Dhaka with 419 pilgrims for Saudi Arabia on Thursday morning.

The first hajj flight (BG-3001) departed from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport around 7:15am. 

Md Mahbub Ali, state minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism, and Sheikh Md Abdullah , state minister for Religious Affairs, were present at the airport to see off the passengers. 

A total of seven flights will leave Dhaka today for Saudi Arabia.

Some 1,27,198 pilgrims from Bangladesh are set to perform hajj this year.

Biman Bangladesh Airlines would carry a total of 63,599 hajj pilgrims while Saudi Arabian Airlines will carry the rest.

The return flights will begin on August 17 and continue until September 15.
