Emirates helps Rotary to set up mother and childcare centre in Dhaka
Dubai based carrier Emirates has lent a hand to the Rotary Club of Dilkusha to set up a mother and childcare centre at Mirpur in Dhaka.
To raise initial fund for the project, the airline contributed two air tickets, one for Dhaka-New York- Dhaka and another for Dhaka-London-Dhaka route, which were auctioned among the participating members of various Rotary Clubs at the Installation ceremony of Rotary International District-3281 held on July 1 at the Bangabandhu International Conference Centre in the capital.
The entire sales proceeds were contributed to the project.
Mohammad Mohijur Rahman, Sales Manager - Bangladesh, Emirates formally handed over the air tickets to Rtn. Khairul Alam, newly installed Governor of the Rotary International District-3281 during the ceremony. Mansoor Al Swaidi, Manager - Deputy Airport Services, Emirates was also present on the occasion.
