Cultural world mourns Mita Haque's passing away
A good pall of gloom has descended on the cultural arena at the demise of Mita Haque as people belonging to country's cultural world are gripped by shocked at the sudden loss of the legendary singer. An Ekushey Padak champion and exponent Tagore songs, Mita Haque passed on at a hospital in Dhaka on Saturday after receiving infected with COVID-19.
President Abdul Hamid and Primary Minister Sheikh Hasina have expressed their deep shock in her passing away.
In split condolence messages, Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy and Chhayaut Sangeet Vidyatan expressed deep shock at the death of Mita Haque. The establishments prayed for the departed soul and conveyed sympathy to the bereaved relatives. Mita Haque was a previous director and instructor of Chhayanaut.
Expressing profound shock by the demise of famed Tagore melody singer, noted filmmaker Animesh Aich said in his official Fb web site, "Mita Aunty, you too remaining the world! Just what a harsh real truth I confronted in the early morning. Might Almighty showers his blessings on your own departed soul."Actor Chanchal Chowdhury in a Facebook status said, "The best singer of Tagore music in the sub-continent Mita Haque provides left the world. I'll never hear her tone of voice nor am i going to see her beautiful face."
