CU BCL halts shuttle train plying
Chattogram University (CU) unit Bangladesh Chhatra League's (BCL) one part on Sunday morning halted shuttle train services on the university route by cutting a train's hose pipe, amid indefinite blockade over clash between two groups of the ruling party's student wing.
They picked up shuttle train driver Khorshed Alam around 7:30am, and after an hour they released. The agitated leaders and activists also cut hose pipe, suspending two scheduled train to go to campus, said Chattogram Railway Police Station officer in-charge Mostafiz Bhuiyan.
Earlier on Sunday night, CU unit BCL's Bijoy and CSC groups clashed. Later, Bijoy group announced to enforce an indefinite blockade from Sunday.
Meanwhile, bus plying remained suspended in the campus as super glue was attached in the locks of the university's all teachers and staff buses.
