3 to die, one gets life for killing Ctg schoolboy
A court in Chattogram sentenced three people to death and another to life term imprisonment for killing schoolboy Farhan Shakib in 2015.
Judge of Chattogram Acting District And Session Judge Munshi Abdul Mazid on Thursday (August 1) pronounced the verdict.
The convicts with death are Kazi Sarwar Uddin, Shahidul Islam and Mir Hossain. Of them, Shahidul Islam and Mir Hossain were fined Tk 50000 each. Sarwar Uddin was also awarded 10 years more imprisonment under another section.
The lone lifer is Hossian Mobarak Rubel.
According to prosecution, a convict called Farhan Shakib to come out of his house on June 6, 2015 and murdered him in Mobarakghona area of Jorarganj over previous enmity.
Shakib, a student of class-X at Jokrarganj JB School, was son of Md Nasir Ahmmed of Mobarakghona area of Jorarganj under Mirsarai upazila.
Later, his elder brother Shahidul islam Rubel field a case with Jorarganj police station accusing five people.
After pronouncement of the verdict, Rubel at the court told Banglanews that they are satisfied in the verdict. They want immediate execution of the court verdict.
