Ctg city Jamaat ameer, 11 others sent to jail
Twelve leaders and activists, including Chattogram city unit Jamaat-e-Islami ameer Muhammad Shahjahan, have been sent to jail, showing them arrested under special power, and explosives acts.

Chattogram Metropolitan Magistrate Shafi Uddin passed the order, denying bail prayer by the accused, said additional deputy commissioner (prosecution) Md Kamruzzaman.

Earlier on Wednesday, police, in a drive, detained twelve Jamaat leaders and activists from a flat in Suborna residential area under Panchlaish Police Station.

Police claimed that the detainees gathered in the house to hold secret meeting to take plan of subversive acts.

The police station OC said sharp weapons were recovered from the house.
