Cineplex to stay at Bashundhara City
Star Cineplex, the primary ever international standard multiplex chain found in Bangladesh will continue screening videos at Bashundhara City Shopping complex as the mall authorities have stepped rear from their earlier decision of evicting the multiplex from level - 08, reports UNB.
Superstar Cineplex Chairman Mahboob Rahman Ruhel verified the matter to the media about Wednesday nighttime, saying, 'Bashundhara City authorities have called us and told to continue screening cinemas here.'
Thanking the mall authority of Bashundhara Metropolis, Ruhel also explained that the expansion of the contract came out a success following Ahmed Akbar Sobhan, Chairman of Bashundhara Group, expressed his desire on discussing the matter with the Cineplex authority.Star Cineplex is scheduled to declare the facts on Thursday about the future strategy of continuing its regular procedures at the Bashundhara City.
Earlier, the Cineplex authority informed media about September 01 that the 16 years old famous multiplex will stop its operation in the mall from October 01, after receiving an eviction see from Bashundhara Metropolis authority - the birthplace from where it entertained the movie lovers since 2004.
The decision arrived as a shock to the cinema enthusiasts and garnered negative reactions on social media, which might have prompted the reconsideration, based on the industry insiders.
