Buriganga release capsize: Moyur-2 launch master held
Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) members arrested Moyur-2 launch master Abul Basher Mollah in Sunday night on a case filed above a launch capsize on the Buriganga River in June 29 that kept 32 people dead.
He was nabbed from Dakhhin Keraniganj spot at night.
RAB headquarters legal and press wing's newly appointed director Lt Col Ashiq Billah confirmed.
On June 29, Dhaka-bound ‘MV Morning Bird’ launch carrying around 150 passengers from Munshiganj sank after being hit by ‘Mayur-2’ near Shyambazar in the capital’s old community.
Bodies of 34 persons were recovered following the launch capsize.
Mohammad Shamsul, sub-inspector of Sadarghat River Law enforcement Station, filed a circumstance at South Keraniganj Law enforcement Station the following day.
