BNP leader Nazrul Islam on the hospital with corona infections
BNP standing committee member Nazrul Islam Khan provides been admitted to a good hospital in the administrative centre with coronavirus infections.
“Nazrul Islam was admitted to Square Hospitals on the city about Monday night as he tested positive for coronavirus,” said BNP assistant business office secretary Taiful Islam Tipu.
He said the BNP senior leader underwent Covid-19 check on Monday morning and the result came out positive in the evening.
Tipu said Nazrul has been kept at the ICU of a healthcare facility and his condition is improving.
Meanwhile, party vice chairman and former minister Chowdhury Kamal Ibne Yusuf features been acquiring treatment for corona infections in Evercare Hospital found in the city for recent days.
“He (Yusuf) provides been placed on a ventilator as his condition turned critical with serious lung infections,” Tipu said.
Amid a growth in the infection of the deadly virus with the arrival of winter, BNP standing committee member Mirza Abbas, his wife Afroza Abbas, standing committee member Iqbal Hasan Mahmud Tuku, vice chairman Barkat Bulu and his complete family, organising secretaries Fazlul Haque Milon, Shama Obaid and many other leaders are also diagnosed with Covid-19.
Among them, Barkatullah Bulu and his members of the family have already been admitted to Green Life Hospital in the administrative centre as the rest are acquiring treatment at home.
Tipu urged most to pray for the speedy recovery of the corona-infected BNP leaders.
