BNP wants Army’s part in vaccine collection, distribution
BNP has demanded that the Army and relevant organisations get the duty to procure the Covid-19 vaccine and preserve and distribute it.

Participants of the BNP standing up committee, the best policymaking human body of the party, in a gathering on Sunday made the demand, said a news release on Monday.

“There’s an apprehension that the actions of the life-saving vaccine procurement could be hampered due to the incompetence of medical Ministry. The BNP standing committee thinks people won’t be benefited if a pragmatic anticipate the collection, preservation and distribution of the vaccine isn't adopted. Instead, there’s an enormous scope for corruption in this technique,” the media discharge said.

The appointment said it isn't possible for the corruption-riddled Wellbeing Ministry and the relevant offices to properly do the huge job relating to the vaccine.  “The MILITARY and other firms concerned should be with all this task as some developed countries have engaged army personnel to achieve that.”

They urged the federal government to immediately declare a plan with an in depth outline to make sure strict monitoring and accountability about the collection, preservation and distribution of the vaccine.

The BNP standing committee also demanded the federal government take steps to provide the vaccine to persons free of cost.

The conference said the federal government should take preparations beforehand to preserve the vaccine at the proper temperature as Bangladesh needs 32 crore doses of the vaccine because of its 16 crore people.

Unlike different countries, the BNP policymakers said, the federal government isn't taking prompt steps to truly have a vaccine and its own proper presentation.

They voiced concern that the coronavirus has spread badly in the united states as a result of government’s failures, indifference and corruption.
