BCL post-deprived leaders call off protest
Post-deprived leaders of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) have called off their protest after getting assurance from four senior leaders of Awami League.

They withdrew their sit-in programme at the foot of Raju Memorial Sculpture on Dhaka University campus, after meeting for hours with the four AL senior leaders on Sunday night.  

The assurances are: The post-deprived leaders will be let to meet Awami League president and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina soon, fair investigation and justice will be held over the attack on post-deprived leaders at Madhur Canteen and Saturday's attack on them at TSC; and declaring vacant the posts of controversial by investigation and post-deprived leaders will be replaced there on basis of qualification. 

Earlier on May 13, a 301-member central committee of BCL was announced through a press release,  leading to a group who were deprived of desired posts to protest and reject the newly-announced body.
