Bashundhara Kings to play NoFel in first semi Thursday
Bashundhara Kings will play NoFel Sporting Club in the first semifinal of the Walton Under-18 Football Tournament on Thursday at Bangabandhu National Stadium here.
The match will kick off at 5pm.
Saif Sporting Club will play the 2nd semifinal on Friday (Sept 27) against Dhaka Abahani Limited at the same time and same venue.
Abahani, which were eliminated from the meet after conceding 4-5 goals defeat in tie-breaker after 1-1 draw in scheduled time against Chattogram Abahani in the quarterfinal, managed a semifinal berth as Chattogram Abahani were expelled from the meet for fielding an illegal player, following an appeal by Abahani.
Bashundhara Kings are the first team to reach the semifinals eliminating Brothers Union Club by 3-2 goals while NoFel Sporting Club booked a seat for the semis eliminating Arambagh Krira Sangha by 5-3 goals in tie-breaker while Saif SC booked the last semifinal spot beating Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club by 2-1 goals in their respective quarterfinals.
