Bangabandhu's birth centenary special event begins
The inaugural event of the celebrations of birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and golden jubilee of Bangladesh’s independence has started.

Maldives President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih provides attended the programme as being the guest of honour.

Chaired by Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the inaugural ceremony is usually attended simply by President Abdul Hamid, among others.

The event you start with national anthem occurs in the National Parade Ground. Chinese President Xi Jinping, Canadian Primary Minister Justin Trudeau and Japanese Primary Minister Yoshihide Suga delivered video messages.   

The programme was accompanied by a musical soiree.

Cabinet participants and Awami Group leaders can be found on the event. Noted personalities of the country are likewise present at the function.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Sri Lankan Primary Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa, Nepalese President Bidya Devi Bhandari and Bhutanese Primary Minister Dr Lotay Tshering will be going to the 10-day program in phases.

Foreign guests will be present on March 17, 19, 22, 24 and 66 of the 10-day long event.  

Some 500 invited friends will attend these five days and nights following health guidelines.

The guests include mind of states of numerous countries, chief of international organisations and important persons.

Starting at 4:30pm each day, the event will finish at 8:00pm. You will have 30- minute interval from 6:00pm to 6:30pm every day. Discussions and cultural programmes will come to be held each day. Participants must acquire Covid-19 certificate before joining the function. The potency of the Covid-19 test is 48 time. Five centres have already been designated for tests.
