Aviation worker, passenger held with gold at Dhaka airport
DHAKA: The custom intelligence detained a security guard of Civil Aviation and a passenger coming from Saudi Arabia with gold from the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Tuesday (January 30).
Director General of the Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate (CIID) Dr Mainul Khan confirmed the matter to the Banglanews.
The arrestees were identified as Abu Taleb, security guard of the Civil Aviation, and Mohammad Baset, coming from Riyadh of Saudi Arabia.
The custom intelligence detained the two with 2 kgs and 440 grams of gold worth Tk. 1 crore and 25 lakh.
