ASI among 3 killed in Cumilla accident
Three persons, including a police official, were killed in a road accident in Baburchi Bazar area in Chauddagram upazila early on Monday (September 2).
The deceased were identified as Akhter Hossain, Assistant Sub Inspector of Highway police, covered van driver and his helper.
Abul Kalam Azad, officer-in-charge of Miabazar Highway Police outpost, told Banglanews that a bus hit a wrecker from behind while it was pulling a covered van which earlier plunged into roadside ditch in Baburchi Bazar area, leaving the ASI standing in front of the wrecker and two others dead on the spot.
Driver of the killer bus managed to flee the scene, said the highway police in charge.
