Asaduzzaman Mia made security cell CEO
The government has appointed Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Md Asaduzzaman Mia as the chief executive officer (CEO) of Cabinet Division's National Security Cell on a contract basis.
He will formally take his new charge on September 14.
Contract and Foreign Recruitment branch of Public Administration Ministry confirmed the appointment in a gazette notification issued on Tuesday (September 3).
The contract with Asaduzzaman Mia, as the National Security Cell CEO, will remain valid for three years, it said.
Asaduzzaman Mia was promoted to DMP commissioner on January 7, 2015. Recently, he has been reappointed to the same post on a contract basis.
